Dey Alexander – Principal Consultant

Photo of Dey AlexanderDey has 15 years web experience. She has been involved in all aspects of the web including coding, design, analytics, strategy, usability and accessibility. Before starting this consultancy in early 2006, Dey managed the user interface design team at Monash University.

She has provided training or consulting services to a range of government, university and corporate clients across Australia. Dey has lectured at Monash, Melbourne, Deakin and Swinburne universities on user-centred design and web accessibility.

In 2004, Dey co-founded the Web Accessibility Network for Australian Universities (WANAU). She managed two Australia-wide forum series in 2005 and 2007. She is a member of the Usability Professionals Association, Computer-Human Interaction Special Interest Group, and the Information Architecture Institute. Dey has reviewed papers for the Ausweb and OzCHI conferences and for scholarly journals.

Outside of work, Dey loves meditation, bushwalking, her dog Bacchus, and spending time in India.

Roger Smith

Derek Brown

Derek has over 10 years’ experience developing communications for the web. His strength is in marketing communications. Derek has:

  • Been involved in major web branding exercises
  • Produced quality copy for marketing brochures and magazines
  • Written for email newsletters and web sites.

Derek has experience in using user-centred design methods to identify user needs and evaluate online copy. He is a member of the Web Accessibility Network for Australian Universities.
